Surgical Tech - OB Tech

OB Tech

This is a part-time position requiring 24 hours per week across two 12-hour shifts. First-time candidates are welcome to apply. On-call duties are required on scheduled days or as needed. Weekends are required as per rotation schedule. The position does not require block scheduling. Candidates can expect to work with surgical cases. There are opportunities for training to learn secretary skills to cover desk needs in addition to OR responsibilities. Experience in various surgical procedures is required, including abdominal hysterectomies, C-sections, and labor and delivery. Additional general surgical skills will be beneficial. The unit supports a variety of patient diagnoses, primarily in obstetrics. The daily census of patients may vary. An ability to work collaboratively within a team environment is essential. Candidates may need to float within the facility or to nearby affiliate facilities. Flexibility in scheduling and the ability to work holidays may be necessary. Travelers should have access to a vehicle for this assignment.
