As a Security Guard for Convenience Store in Los Angeles, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a busy retail location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will support a welcoming environment through strong communication and customer service, while bringing agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity to every shift.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including sales floor areas, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter points, as assigned.
• Monitor for unusual activity, policy violations, and/or potential loss prevention concerns, helping to deter unwanted behavior through visible presence and timely reporting.
• Assist with access monitoring, opening and closing activities, and customer-facing interactions while maintaining awareness of security-related conditions across the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
