Specialty Equipment Inventory Clerk

Purpose

The Specialty Equipment Inventory Clerk provides efficient and effective support for field operations. Specifically, this role provides, maintains, and tracks the equipment, tools, and supplies of the Specialty Equipment and Small Tools Warehouses.

Focus & Scope

Essential duties and responsibilities, i.e. those which are basic, necessary, and an integral part of the job, are indicated below:

• Actively support field operation’s goals and objectives through completing assignments on time and accurately, providing ongoing support, and proactively resolving challenges and issues.
• Serve as the first point of contact for queries regarding specialty equipment and small tools.
• Ensure that equipment is in working order and prepared for service for the field operations. Lead the check in and check out process of equipment, properly documenting status of the asset and job/employee checking it out.
• Oversee equipment inventory management across the region, ensuring accurate and efficient tracking and implementing best practices in equipment inventory control.
• Maintain accurate records of all assets on the property, including receiving, release, and reconciliation of damaged equipment. Identify units that need to be replaced, repaired, and/or serviced prior to redistribution.
• Ensure accurate identification and labeling of equipment as well as verifying telematic installation and verification.
• Collaborates across functions and supports consistent technical practices and administrative procedures. Adheres to policies, procedures, and standards that protect the company’s interests.
• Assists with ensuring that field operations have the tools, equipment, and supplies required. Works with others to maintain an adequate inventory and ensure equipment is in good working order and is delivered, or available, in a timely manner.
• Maintains small tool warehouse inventory if applicable: receives and stores tools; tracks company-owned and rented equipment; coordinates repairs to existing tools; processes documents and invoices related to purchasing and repairing equipment.
• Responsible for completion of internal administrative organization and documentation, including tracking, receiving documents, logs, work orders, and others as required.

Role Qualifications & Requirements

Education:

• A High School diploma or G.E.D. or an equivalent combination of training, education, and experience.

Experience and Industry Expertise:

• Minimum two (2) years of experience in or knowledge of construction tools, equipment, and warehouse inventory preferred.
• Experience in construction equipment management highly desired.
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain required.

Specific Job Requirements:

• Must be able to work both indoors and outdoors year-round with varying schedules dependent upon field operations.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and maintain accurate records with a strong attention to detail.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug, alcohol, and background investigation
• Current on all company required safety training
• Ability to preserve confidential and proprietary information and successfully avoid conflicts-of-interest
• Mechanical aptitude and strong ability to maintain construction tools
• Knowledge of Standard Operating Policies and Procedures
• Ability to consistently appear for work on time
• Ability to work overtime as required

Equipment Used, Physical Demands, and Work Environment

Equipment Used:

• General office equipment, telephone, automobile, personal protective equipment (i.e. safety glasses, hearing protection) when visiting plants.

• Physical: Sitting for long periods of time working on the computer or attending meetings. Job site visits require walking on uneven ground, steep slopes, and exposure to extreme temperature and/or humidity. Some lifting of materials and equipment up to 50 lbs.
• Work Environment: Typical office environment with adequate temperatures and lighting, low levels of noise. Demands of meeting tight deadlines. Exposed to the conditions of job sites which can include loud noise, dust, fumes, and extreme weather conditions prevalent at the time. May work various hours, including early mornings, dusk or evenings.

HOURLY BASE SALARY RANGE

$27.24 - $38.14

The range displayed reflects the range the company reasonable expects to pay for the position. The actual base salary is subject to variation due to the role, level, geographic location, relevant education, training, or experience, among other factors.
