RATT Lead - Amphibious (Steam) Team

Sayres is seeking an experienced RATT Lead – Amphibious (Steam) Team in San Diego, CA with a SECRET clearance, verifiable in DISS. Position Summary The Steam RATT Lead provides expert assessments of steam propulsion plants, engineering operations, and maintenance programs aboard amphibious ships. Responsibilities Lead steam propulsion readiness assessments. Evaluate plant operations, maintenance execution, and engineering performance. Identify readiness risks and corrective actions. Provide technical guidance to ship leadership and Government stakeholders. Prepare reports and readiness recommendations. Qualifications Minimum 15 years of Navy engineering supervisory experience. Extensive EOOW, PPWO, Chief Engineer, or equivalent steam plant experience. Strong knowledge of Navy steam propulsion systems and maintenance processes. Experience supporting TYCOM, ISIC, ATG, or maintenance organizations. Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred. 25+ years highly desirable. Location & Travel Support is primarily based in San Diego, CA, with occasional travel to Navy fleet concentration areas including Everett, WA; Pearl Harbor, HI; Sasebo, Japan; Yokosuka, Japan; and Singapore, as well as other customer locations as required. Salary Range $90,000–$140,000, commensurate with experience. Compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and market considerations.
