Nuclear Refresh Technician (NY)

Description

TEKsystems client in Ontario, NY is seeking a long term IT Support contractor on a full time basis.

This individual will be primarily responsible for the On-site IT support across the main campus handling support including desktop, and some minor network support. Their 1st level of help desk is outsourced (through TEKsystems) and so any operational issues they will be responding to are going to be tier 2/3. They will also be responsible for project-based work: Refreshes, implementations, upgrades etc.

Must be able to:

- Manage a service desk queue (level 2)

- Break/Fix: as they occur you need to be able to respond and fix timely.

- Request Tickets: manage EU requests (replacements, migrations etc)

- Remote-in to resolve any issues that can be done remotely

- Organization/Asset management (using ServiceNOW too for ITSM)

- Imaging and deploying of equipment

-mobile device support and deployment

Customer Job Description:

Performs and/or manages activities relating to planning, designing, building, maintaining, and operating a high quality and secure network infrastructure across campus, along with required processes and procedures to ensure cyber security compliance. May assist in the coordination of tasks for subordinates.

- Assist in creation of documentation for products and services. Use best practices to improve products and services provided to business unit partners, and monitor adherence within Team/Group to standards as defined within the Management Model

- Maintain and enhance engagement with business and IT partners and other stakeholders

- Establish positive teaming environment by proactively assisting and training less experienced personnel. Provide performance and development feedback as required

- Maintain technical knowledge and business acumen within network and security IT operations. Maintain awareness of trends and issues in area of technical expertise

Good customer interface skills are required, as the position is customer facing.

This is a Contract position based out of Ontario, NY.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
