Staff Accountant

Company Overview: Commencing operations in January 2021, Marlin invests in and manages mortgage servicing rights (MSRs) and operates a fully integrated residential mortgage platform. Marlin and its affiliates master-service loans; own affiliated insurance, technology, and SEC-registered investment advisory businesses; and currently service approximately 170,000 loans nationwide. Key Responsibilities: Responsible for the day-to-day management of mortgage loan funding Responsible for managing borrower payments Manage accounting transactions for all affiliated entities Analytically review key general ledger accounts Prepare consolidated subsidiary financial statements with accompanying notes Assist in preparation and compilation of reporting packages for the senior management team Assist in liquidity analysis and treasury functions Assist in the year end audit Assist in ad-hoc projects as they arise Work closely with all departments Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required Hands-on and detail oriented Eager to work independently and collaboratively Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills Comprehensive benefits (medical, vision, and dental insurance) 401K plan with company matching FSA/HSA Plans The expected salary range for this position is between:

$60K - $75K
