Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise nursing assistants to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
• Plan and oversee daily nursing activities, administer medications, and complete required documentation
• Maintain patient confidentiality and perform professional nursing services such as catheterization, wound care, and IV care
• Foster a warm and collaborative environment and coordinate with physicians to ensure safety protocols are followed
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff to meet residents' needs

Qualifications:

• Registered Nurse (RN) with a current unencumbered state license
• Knowledge of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to nursing care facilities
• Experience in Long Term Care is preferred
• Willingness to take additional training or education, which specific states may require
• CPR and First Aid certifications required
• Ability to be flexible and adaptable while handling multiple priorities
• Possess written and verbal skills for effective communication
• Competent in organizational and time management skills
• Demonstrates good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

Physical Demands:

• Required to sit, stand, bend, and walk intermittently throughout the workday
• May be required to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
• Include a medical and physical examination
• May be necessary to assist in the evacuation of residents during emergency situations
