Senior Clinical Business Analyst

Salary: $187,200 - 208,000 per year Requirements:

• We prefer a clinical background.
• We prefer at least two full life-cycle implementations.
• We require an Epic certification.
• Specialty certifications from an approved national, state, professional society, academic, or technical program may count toward up to one year of the required experience.
• We require either a masters degree or advanced clinical degree plus two years of lead experience in gathering, defining, and managing requirements for software in a clinical, healthcare, IT, IS, business, analytics, or related setting; or one year of relevant clinical and/or healthcare administration experience; or a baccalaureate degree plus five years of the same type of experience; or a suitable combination of education, training, and experience.
• We require 2-5 years of experience with Epic EMR and/or other clinical applications.

• We analyze and document business requirements and processes, then communicate them to technical teams through conceptual data models, process flows, and technical specifications.
• We interview end users, stakeholders, and project sponsors to assess business and clinical needs and create business, functional, and technical requirement documents.
• We translate gathered information into details such as data sources, user and data types, interface components, navigation needs, reporting needs, and administrative system needs.
• We define external interfaces, constraints, quality concerns, and other non-functional requirements.
• We surface risks, concerns, and ambiguities to the project management team and help develop solutions.
• We partner with project managers to complete requirements documentation according to the project schedule.
• We plan, organize, facilitate, and lead meetings and workgroups, and we manage follow-up activities.
• We ensure the software development team addresses all defined requirements in coordination with the quality assurance team and that quality standards align with internal and industry standards.
• We document changes to baseline requirements through the standard change control process and produce test plans, technical requirements, release notes, user and training guides, and related materials.
• We plan, coordinate, and support user acceptance testing and subsequent deployments with other team leaders.
• We provide end-user and application support, including troubleshooting and resolution of application defects.
• We develop and deliver project presentations.
• We participate in special projects as needed.
• We train and mentor junior clinical business analysts and other project team members, and we manage and evaluate their work products.
• We lead training, development, and implementation of process improvements across projects and applications.
• We identify improvement opportunities, perform analysis, propose changes, and communicate strategies.
• We provide supervision and direction to junior clinical business analysts, level I and II clinical business analysts, consultants, and other project team members.
• We interview junior clinical business analysts, level I and II clinical business analysts, consultants, and other appropriate project team members.
• We are required to work beyond our regularly scheduled hours as needed for the role.
