MS RN's Care For Adult Patients

MS RN's care for adult patients who are acutely ill with a wide variety of medical problems and diseases or are recovering from surgery. Med Surg unit of a facility is where ill patients go to recover before being discharged. They handle large patient loads, juggle multiple patient populations, and adapt to the ever-changing face of nursing care. Although most MS RN's work in the Med Surg unit of hospitals, they can work in a variety of settings includes camps, clinics, schools, and ambulatory care centers.

Education/Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN): 4-Year Education
• Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN): 2-Year Education
• You must earn an ADN or BSN degree and pass the NCLEX to apply for a license as a RN.
• RN's can only work with an active state license.
• ACLS occasionally required

**12 Hour Days. **Must pick up 1 shift every 90 days to stay active**This position follows AHSA's clinical interview process. Candidates can expect outreach within two hoursvia phone and text where applicablewith decisions typically made the same day or by the next business day. Applicants who have negative background or employment history are not eligible for the same processing timeline. **The Registered Nurse delivers quality nursing care through the utilization of the nursing process. Works collaboratively with other members of the healthcare team to maintain standards for professional nursing practice. Carries out functions according to hospital policy, the hospital mission, and standards of practice defined by professional and regulatory guidelines. Directs, coordinates and delegates activities in order to foster patient / family centered care.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Assesses the physical, psychosocial, and educational needs of the patient.
• Plans and implements nursing care according to patient and family needs.
• Makes appropriate interventions based upon individual patient needs.
• Evaluates patient responses to nursing interventions.
• Assumes personal responsibility for quality patient care, patient satisfaction, environment and professional development.

Submission Requirements:

• 3.5+ Year of Experience in Med/Surg or similar specialties - Required
• Prior travel experience - Required
• At least 1 year of experience in a Trauma Level I or II facility - Required
• Cerner EMR Experience - Highly Preferred

Upon Submission:

• AHSA will review and deem a clinician's application eligible/ineligible for an offer
• Offer will be made to agency
• Once Offer Acceptance is received, AHSA will send confirmation details to the facility
• Facility will have 48 business hours to "name clear" clinician eligible for work
• AHSA will inform agency that the clinician has been "name-cleared" & is ready to start compliance
