Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) - School District near Tampa, FL Soliant Health is currently seeking a qualified Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to join a school district near Tampa, FL. This position offers the flexibility of either full-time or part-time employment and involves working with students from PreK through 8th grade. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a school-based setting and possess an active license to practice as an SLPA in the state of Florida. Responsibilities Collaborate with licensed Speech-Language Pathologists to implement individualized treatment plans for students with speech and language disorders. Provide direct therapy services to students across various grade levels, focusing on articulation, language comprehension, fluency, and social communication skills. Conduct screenings, assessments, and progress monitoring to identify students in need of speech and language services and track their progress over time. Assist in the development and delivery of interventions to support students' communication skills in academic and social contexts. Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of student progress, session notes, and relevant data in compliance with district and state regulations. Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and other members of the educational team to coordinate services and support students' speech and language goals. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Sciences and Disorders, or related field from an accredited institution. Current certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) or eligibility for certification in the state of Florida. Prior experience working in a school-based setting with students from PreK through 8th grade. Strong understanding of school-based speech and language services, including the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs). Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team. Proficiency in conducting assessments, progress monitoring, and data collection to inform treatment planning and evaluate outcomes.
