EHS Supervisor

Environmental, Health, and Safety Supervisor At Materion, everyone is included, respected, and offered opportunity to grow. The Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Supervisor will plan, administer, and supervise an ongoing environmental, safety, and health program in accordance with the Occupational Safety and Health Act, EPA requirements, and applicable Federal, State, and Local regulations as well as Materion’s EHS systems, processes, and programs. The position directs the organization's EHS efforts to protect employees and the Company against harm, maintain safe working conditions, reduce our environmental footprint, formulate and implement work standards, enforce procedures, identify risk prevention areas, ensure compliance and reporting requirements, support public relations initiatives, support local EHS staff, and advise management on EHS concerns and problem corrections. The Supervisor will also lead and oversee Environmental and Safety programs and provide leadership, direction, and support to Westford in Environmental and Safety arenas. Responsibilities Plan, administer, and supervise environmental, safety, and health programs. Protect employees and the Company against harm. Maintain safe working conditions and reduce environmental footprint. Formulate and implement work standards and enforce procedures. Identify and address risk prevention areas (hazardous material exposure, accidents, fires). Ensure compliance and reporting requirements of applicable federal or state regulations. Support public relations initiatives and outreach efforts. Support local EHS staff to help achieve objectives. Advises management on EHS concerns and problem corrections. Lead and oversee Environmental and Safety programs in Westford. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in EH&S and/or compliance field. Minimum of one year full‑time work experience in an EH&S role. Experience designing and implementing compliance strategies with OSHA and EPA regulations. Eligibility and Security Clearance The position may require the eligibility to obtain security clearance. Non‑US citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. The Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) conducts personnel security background investigations for the Department of Defense and other federal agencies. Export Compliance Requirement The selection of the person to be hired for this position is contingent on the candidate having export compliance eligibility for access to U.S. controlled technology. Eligible candidates must be either a U.S. citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, asylee or refugee, a national of a non‑prohibited country (via letter of assurance), or a person to be approved for an export license by the appropriate agency. This requirement is conditional on Materion’s ability to obtain an export license within a time frame consistent with business requirements. Physical Demands Stand, sit or walk short distances for up to 12 hours per day. Climb stairs occasionally. Exert up to 40 pounds of force to lift, push, or pull frequently. Use hands repetitively to grasp, lift, handle, carry or feel objects. May reach, stoop, kneel, or bend occasionally. Wear personal protective equipment, including respiratory protection. Salary Range Salary range: $80,000 - $98,000. The final offer will be determined based on the candidate’s individual merits and the company’s compensation policies.
