This position participates in our compensation program, which provides opportunities for future pay growth based on performance and career development.401(k) with a dollar-for-dollar company match up to 4%Hotel discounts at select Western States Lodging & Management propertiesEligible full-time associates are entitled to the following:Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance plans plus Health Savings Account (HSA) optionsOptional supplemental benefits, including accident, critical illness, hospital indemnity, and other coverage options.Personal Time Off (PTO) and Vacation benefitsWhat You'll DoWelcome guests and provide prompt, friendly, and professional beverage serviceTake beverage orders and prepare cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beveragesLearn and accurately follow established beverage recipes, portions, and presentation standardsDevelop knowledge of menus, cocktails, beverage offerings, glassware, silverware, and service proceduresVerify identification and follow responsible alcohol service requirementsComply with Utah liquor laws and all company alcohol service policiesServe occasional food items according to established service standardsProcess guest payments accurately using the applicable point-of-sale systemFollow established cash-handling proceduresMaintain a clean, organized, stocked, and guest-ready bar throughout the shiftClean and properly handle glassware, equipment, linens, and other service itemsComplete assigned opening, closing, daily, and weekly side workMonitor bar supplies and replenish items as neededHandle guest concerns professionally and communicate issues to leadership when appropriateFollow established lost and found, safety, and accident-reporting proceduresWhat We're Looking ForHigh school diploma or equivalent required0–1 year of bartending, serving, barback, hospitality, or related customer service experience preferredBartending education, training, or certification is a plusValid Food Handler Permit and required alcohol-service certification, or ability to obtain them in the state you are applyingBasic knowledge of common cocktails, beverage recipes, and bartending techniquesStrong customer service and communication skillsFriendly, outgoing, and enthusiastic personalityStrong attention to detail when preparing, garnishing, and serving beveragesAbility to learn menus, recipes, and beverage offeringsFamiliarity with POS systems and cash-handling procedures preferredCommitment to responsible alcohol service and compliance with applicable liquor lawsAvailability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events as neededPhysical RequirementsThis position requires frequent walking and standing throughout the shift, along with the ability to bend, stoop, sit, stand, and reach. Associates must be able to use proper body mechanics and occasionally lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.
