Details PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown setting with cardiac telemetry and MS/Tele patient populations Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts Requires floating between sister facilities within the region Uses Epic charting system Requirements Active CA RN license (Compact license must be in hand at submission) Minimum 2 years of RN experience required Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Epic EMR experience required (hard requirement) Stepdown or ICU experience required (hard requirement) Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management Experience with IV therapy/phlebotomy and starting/maintaining IVs Experience with oxygen administration and non-invasive airway management Experience managing cardiac drips (no titration required) 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years Must respond to disclosure question regarding prior employment at a Providence facility Additional Information Responsibilities include cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and emergency response on a telemetry unit Care for patients pre/post cardiac catheterization, angiogram, and cardiac surgery Skilled in BiPAP/CPAP management and non-invasive airway support Experience with central line and PICC line care preferred Experience with blood product administration preferred Experience with heparin protocols and procedural sedation monitoring preferred Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day) Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to qualify for travel rate Former Providence permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must not reside within 50 miles of the facility Travelers may be required to float between sister facilities within the state American Traveler Job ID P-750171.
