Contract | Nights | 4x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit with standard ratios of 1:6, with potential flex to 1:7 in the event of unplanned staffing absences
• Perform telemetry monitoring and respond to rapid response situations as needed
• Administer insulin and manage patients requiring Med/Surg and MS/Tele-level care
• Participate in on-call requirements on a PRN basis for low-census situations
• Float within scope to meet facility needs, including like units, as required
• During hurricane season (June–November), all contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams

Required Qualifications

• Active South Carolina RN license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start date
• BLS certification required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Skills in Med/Surg, MS/Tele, Telemetry, Insulin management, and Rapid Response
• Must live more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
• Previous permanent or PRN staff must have been separated from the facility system for at least 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg RN experience preferred; first-time travelers will be considered
• ACLS certification preferred
• NIHSS certification preferred
