Wound Care Nurse

About This Role The Wound Care Nurse provides specialized care related to the assessment and treatment of patients with wounds, ostomies, and continence issues. This role is ideal for nurses who are passionate about patient education and collaboration within a multidisciplinary team. Highlights Pay: $119,867/year Location: New York, NY Facility: NYC Health + Hospitals/Community Care Schedule: Full-Time, Day (9:00 A.M – 5:30 P.M) What You'll Do Conduct comprehensive assessments of deep wounds, skin tears, ostomies, and pressure injuries. Collaborate with clinical providers to establish individualized care plans for patients. Complete thorough wound care evaluations and document assessments and recommendations. Provide education and counseling to staff, patients, and families regarding wound care. Develop and implement wound and skin care prevention programs. Participate in product evaluations for ostomy and skin care needs. Collaborate with staff to establish protocols for optimal clinical outcomes. Observe and interpret patient responses and wound statuses, reporting changes. Participate in departmental conferences and quality improvement initiatives. Manage data related to Hospital Acquired Pressure Injuries.
