Position Overview
We're excited to welcome a skilled and empathetic Sonography / Ultrasound Technologist to our expanding team of imaging professionals committed to delivering superior care. Utilizing advanced ultrasound technology, you will conduct a variety of diagnostic evaluations, collaborate with a dedicated team of healthcare providers, and provide patients with comfort and clarity through precise imaging.
Description of Responsibilities
- Conduct an array of ultrasound examinations, such as abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts imaging
- Prioritize patient comfort and safety throughout procedures, carefully explaining each step with empathy
- Work in conjunction with radiologists and referring physicians to ensure high-quality diagnostic imaging
- Utilize and maintain ultrasound equipment, promptly reporting any technical issues
- Thoroughly document procedures and maintain accurate patient records within the electronic medical system
- Stay abreast of innovations in ultrasound imaging techniques and their applications
Education Requirements
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field
- Completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program is preferred
Certifications Required
- Active certification by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or equivalent
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is preferred
Skills Needed
- Proficient technical skills in sonographic imaging and patient positioning
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
