Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care across multiple units (med/surg, ICU, ER) as needed, following physician orders and hospital protocols
• Monitor patient status, perform ongoing assessments, and communicate changes to the care team
• Administer medications and treatments, document in the electronic medical record, and ensure accuracy of orders
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care and discharge planning
• Maintain patient safety and comfort, respond to emergencies, and escalate as appropriate
• Demonstrate flexibility to float to ICU/ER/MS/MST and adapt care plans for age-specific needs

Requirements

• NYS Licensed Registered Professional Nurse
• BSN required
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS (through American Heart Association or RQI) and NIHSS required
• Basic Coronary Care certification within 6 months of hire
• CPI certification within 90 days of hire
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Med/Surg, Telemetry, or Critical Care units
• Ability to work in a floating capacity across ICU, ER, Med/Surg, and related units
• Comfort handling confidential information and collaborating effectively in a team environment
