Vault Teller – Boston, MA (Onsite) Job Details: Job ID: 64099 Category: Accounting Position Type: Contract Duration: Long term Shift: 1 (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Monday-Friday) Remaining Positions: 1 Job Summary: The Vault Teller will handle receipt, processing, validation, destruction, and payout of currency and coin in a secure environment, adhering to Treasury Currency Operations Manual and other regulations. Principal Accountabilities Receive, process, validate, and destroy currency, and receive and payout coin. Adhere to TCOM, CCPS, and internal District Cash Procedures. Coordinate with depository institutions and operate high‑speed currency equipment. Balance deposits and process accounting transactions using internal systems. Maintain accurate physical counts and automated accounting records. Detect counterfeits and altered notes, maintain certification through semi‑annual testing. Handle substantial values of currency and coin, ensuring custody and accountability. Operate material handling equipment as required by OSHA. Work effectively in a confined team environment, communicate issues to management. Address routine mechanical issues with currency verification machines. Perform other duties as assigned. Other Accountabilities Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications No supervisory responsibilities. Associate degree or equivalent experience in related fields. Physical ability to push equipment up to 800 pounds, lift 40-60 pounds repeatedly, and stand for extended periods. Strong math, balance, and accounting skills; proficiency in MS Office.
