Seven Healthcare are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse for a travel assignment in the Emergency Room/Emergency Department in Alexandria, LA. This role involves working in a high-acuity environment, dealing with a diverse range of medical cases including strokes, cardiovascular, diabetes, wounds, behavioral health, sepsis, and some trauma care. Candidates will be expected to provide both routine and complex care, manage clinical situations, and work towards long-term care planning.

Key Responsibilities of the RN - ER/ED

• Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• Administer medications and treatments; monitor for side-effects and effectiveness
• Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and/or caregivers

Requirements of the RN - ER/ED

• BLS certification via AHA required
• ACLS certification via AHA required
• PALS certification via AHA required
• TNCC certification required
• De-Escalation certification required
• RN License in state of employment or compact
• One year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred
