The Art Therapist / Clinical Counselor position offers a rewarding opportunity to provide specialized therapeutic services with a focus on eating disorders in a supportive, collaborative clinical environment. This role involves integrating art and creative processes into individual, family, and group counseling sessions to support clients’ mental health and behavioral wellness during daytime hours.

Type: Full-time or part-time

Setting: Eating disorder treatment

Schedule: Flexible daytime schedule, generally 9 AM–5 PM

Evenings: 2–3 evenings/week may be required for therapy groups until 7–8 PM

Weekends/On-call:   No  

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, family, and group counseling
• Use art and creative processes as therapeutic treatment
• Assist with group therapy programs
• Diagnose behavioral health conditions using DSM criteria
• Develop clinical materials and treatment resources
• Complete clinical documentation
• Work collaboratively with the clinical team
• Provide some single-patient/hybrid services

 

Required Qualifications

• Master's degree in Art Therapy, Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related field
• New Mexico professional license (LAMFT, LMHC, LMSW, or LPC)
• Strong communication, teamwork, and HIPAA compliance skills

 

Pay:  $32/hr for new grads; up to $46/hr with experience

Relocation: Available for qualified candidates

Sign-on bonus: Available
