Procurement Specialist Pay Rate: Up to $50.00/hour on W2, depending on experience Work Type: Onsite - Alvarado, TX 76009 Work Schedule: Day Shift | 8:00 am - 4:30 pm | 40-hours per week Duration: 4-month contract with possibility of extension and/or conversion based on performance and other factors Raise is currently hiring a Procurement Specialist on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader. Responsibilities Plans sourcing of goods and services to support manufacturing, field operations, technology, or project management strategic plans at the plant level. Support sourcing and procurement activities across manufacturing, field operations, technology, and project management. Issue purchase orders in direct response to material requirements established by manufacturing, field operations, or project teams. Create Requests for Quotations (RFQs) and coordinate competitive bidding processes to secure the best quality, delivery, and pricing. Implement agreements for local procurement of goods and services not covered under broader Category Management. Execute and comply with established Category Management strategies, procurement policies, and procedures. Manage local procurement activities in strict alignment with organizational guidelines. Actively evaluate and assess supplier performance to ensure quality standards and delivery timelines are met. Contribute directly to cost containment, operational efficiency, profitability, and overall procurement effectiveness. Qualifications Completion of an undergraduate degree in a technical, business, or similar discipline required. Minimum of 2 years of experience in procurement or production environment. Advanced procurement certification preferred (CPM, etc.). Experience with SAP and other ERP systems preferred. Purchase to Pay knowledge is desirable. Strong computer skills (Excel, email, general systems proficiency). Effective communication skills (phone and email). Strong task and workload management abilities.
