Software Development Manager, Managed Ops

Salary: $184,900 - 250,200 per year Requirements:

• We need 3+ years of experience managing engineering teams.
• We need 7+ years of engineering experience.
• We need 8+ years of experience leading the definition and delivery of multi-tier web services.
• We need familiarity with engineering practices and patterns across the full software, hardware, and network development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build pipelines, testing, certification, and live site operations.
• We need experience partnering with product or program management teams.
• Preferred: 6+ years of engineering team management experience.
• Preferred: A bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Preferred: Experience communicating with users, technical teams, and senior leadership to gather requirements, explain software features, outline technical designs, and define product strategy.
• Preferred: Experience recruiting, hiring, mentoring, coaching, and leading software engineering teams to improve effectiveness and technical capability.

• We manage a team of software development engineers.
• We lead engineers working on Managed Operations challenges for China, ESC, US-ADCs, and Commercial Partitions.
• We partner with customers to define project scope and evaluate artifacts and solutions against business needs.
• We hire, coach, and promote team members.
• We handle complex engineering issues, tooling initiatives, decisions, and escalations while reducing long-term risk.
• We review key performance metrics to keep the team aligned with business goals.
• We collaborate across departments to strengthen partnerships and improve delivery efficiency.
