Lifepoint Health has an opportunity for a Chief Nursing Officer to provide oversight of Saline Memorial Hospital located in Benton, Arkansas.
Saline Memorial Hospital is a LifePoint Health-affiliated, acute‑care community hospital located in Benton, Arkansas, serving Saline County and the surrounding suburban communities southwest of Little Rock. The hospital provides a broad mix of inpatient and outpatient services, including emergency care, surgical services, cardiology, women's services, imaging, rehabilitation, and physician clinics. Key Responsibilities
- Direct nursing activities of Market Hospitals within the context of hospital policies and procedures, ensuring continuous and timely nursing services to patients.
- Ensure nursing standards, practices, policies, and procedures are consistent with laws, regulatory and accreditation requirements, and current research findings and national professional standards.
- Direct nursing service performance improvement activities.
- Actively participate in hospital leadership functions.
- Collaborate with hospital leaders to design and provide patient care and services, including availability of sufficient, qualified nursing staff.
- Develop, present, and manage the nursing services budget.
General Responsibilities
- Develop and implement overall nursing plan consistent with hospital policies and objectives to provide continuous nursing care and services.
- Develop, implement, and interpret nursing and patient care policies, objectives, and standards for measurement and maintenance of quality nursing care.
- Implement a nursing services budget and expense control system.
- Prepare master nursing services staffing plan.
- Organize, direct, and supervise daily nursing service to assure adequate hospital coverage and quality care.
- Recruit, interview, evaluate, and hire qualified personnel.
- Participate in development, implementation, and maintenance of the hospital quality assurance and improvement program through evaluation of services rendered, quality improvement, audit of medical records, patient visits, and counsel with hospital staff.
- Maintain communications with medical and administrative staff through participation in scheduled staff meetings and involvement on hospital medical services committees.
- Evaluate long‑ and short‑range equipment and supply requirements for nursing care by forecasting service levels and material needs.
- Direct, plan, and implement orientation and educational programs to promote staff training and development.
- Recommend and participate in development of new patient care programs to expand nursing care services.
- Represent hospital in healthcare programs and professional organizations in a public relations capacity to stimulate professional growth.
Education Requirements
- Licensed Registered Nurse with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and knowledge of nursing principles, theories, and practice standards.
- Master’s Degree required (MSN or MHA).
License Requirement
Must hold a valid, active nursing license in the state where the facility is located. A single‑state or multi‑state license is acceptable provided it meets state requirements for practice.
Experience Requirements
- Minimum of 3–5 years of CNO experience in an investor‑owned healthcare organization.
- Prior experience with Joint Commission preparation and survey process.
