Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) night shift position requiring cardiac step-down experience and an active OH or compact RN license.

Details

• Cardiac step-down/telemetry unit caring for open heart recovery, post-op open-heart, and other cardiac/med-surg step-down patients
• Night shift schedule (7p-7:30a), 36 hours per week
• Typically works every third weekend and covers one holiday, subject to change based on census and staffing
• No regular on-call requirement, though a rare call day may be requested during fluctuating census
• Float to other units required during low volumes or coverage crises, though not typically expected
• May occasionally care for a ventilated patient despite the unit not typically admitting ventilator patients
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active OH or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum of 3 years cardiac step-down experience required, including heart cath recovery, cardiac drips, and post-op open-heart patients
• Experience with open-heart patient care required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Candidates must be comfortable providing care to ventilated patients if needed

• Compliance requirements must be completed prior to resuming assignment
