Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) Hospice | 13-Week Contract
Facility: Hoag Health System
Location: Newport Beach, CA
Duration: 13 Weeks (LOA Coverage)
Schedule: Monday Friday | 8:30 AM 5:00 PM
Setting: Hospice/Home Health Patient Homes
- Provide personal care to hospice patients in their homes.
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs).
- Follow infection control and patient safety guidelines.
- Document patient care accurately.
- Communicate effectively with the healthcare team.
- Travel locally between patient homes.
- Active California Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) certification.
- Current BLS Certification .
- Active California Home Care Aide Registry registration.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous Home Health and/or Hospice experience required.
- Valid driver's license.
- Reliable, insured personal vehicle.
- Comfortable providing end-of-life care.
- Home Health/Hospice experience
- Patient care and ADLs
- Infection control
- Patient safety
- Documentation
- Communication and interpersonal skills
- Empathy and compassion
- Ability to work independently
- Basic healthcare technology skills
Equipment and training will be provided during orientation.
