Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Day Shift (0700–1530) | 8-Hour Shifts | On-Call Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 2-lab cardiac cath environment supporting an average of 3 cardiac catheterizations and 2 angiograms per day across 6 pre/post beds
• Care for patients presenting with diagnoses including STEMI, stroke, drain and line placement, peripheral angios, IVC placement, and temporary pacemaker insertion
• Read and interpret telemetry strips and titrate IV drips with proficiency across a broad range of IV medications
• Operate and monitor patients using Philips monitoring equipment and document care using Epic EMR
• Participate in on-call coverage, including 2–3 weeknights per week, every 3rd weekend, and 2 holidays per year
• Work alongside Cath Lab Techs and a Charge Nurse who may take patient assignments

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois, or confirmation that the application process has been initiated
• Previous cardiac cath lab experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Demonstrated ability to read telemetry strips and titrate drips
• Proficiency with a broad range of IV medications
• Must be able to comply with a drug-free workplace policy and produce a negative drug screen

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with peripheral angiography cases
• Background in interventional radiology (IR) and/or neuro intervention
• Familiarity with Epic EMR and Philips monitoring equipment
