Support the Vermont Army National Guard
The Vermont Army National Guard (VTARNG) is seeking experienced and mission-focused Registered Nurses (RN III) to provide Non-Clinical Case Management Services in support of Soldier readiness, wellness, and deployability. This position supports the VTARNG Office of the Deputy State Surgeon and plays a critical role in coordinating care and services for Service Members with complex healthcare and readiness needs.
Position Details
- Position Title: Registered Nurse III (RN III)
- Number of Openings: 3
- Location: Vermont Army National Guard State Medical Detachment, Green Mountain Armory, Camp Johnson, Colchester, Vermont
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 0730–1630
- Telework: Authorized based on operational requirements
- Weekend Support: Occasional support for Soldier Readiness events may be required
- Period of Performance starts July 12, 2026
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate non-clinical case management services for Service Members
- Support medical readiness, wellness, and deployability initiatives
- Facilitate care coordination between military, civilian, and community providers
- Ensure proper utilization of healthcare resources and services
- Assist Service Members navigating healthcare systems and referrals
- Maintain accurate documentation and case records
- Participate in quality control and compliance activities
- Support continuity of operations during telework or emergency operations
Minimum Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing in the State of Vermont
- Experience in case management, care coordination, utilization management, or military healthcare preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with electronic medical records and Microsoft Office applications
Security & Compliance Requirements
Selected candidates must be able to:
- Obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC)
- Successfully complete background screening requirements
- Complete required DoD and Army training, including:
- Information Assurance (IA)
- AT Level I Antiterrorism Training
- OPSEC Training
- iWATCH Awareness Training
Compensation
Compensation is competitive and aligned with applicable Service Contract Labor Standards.
