JQ Staffing Services is seeking an experienced Freight Logistics & Dispatch Coordinator for an established client.

This is a busy, fast-paced position requiring hands-on experience in freight logistics, dispatching, carrier coordination, and shipping operations. We are looking for a highly organized, computer-proficient individual who can manage multiple shipments, troubleshoot transportation issues, and keep daily operations moving efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily freight shipments, including LTL and full truckload transportation.
• Locate, schedule, and dispatch trucks and carriers to meet shipping deadlines.
• Monitor shipments and resolve transportation issues, including delays, missed pickups, and carrier problems.
• Communicate with drivers, freight brokers, warehouse personnel, and internal departments.
• Prepare and maintain accurate shipping documents, including Bills of Lading (BOLs) and Proof of Delivery (PODs).
• Review freight invoices, verify charges, and maintain accurate shipment records.
• Manage multiple priorities while ensuring shipments are processed accurately and on schedule.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Previous hands-on experience in freight logistics, dispatching, and shipping coordination REQUIRED.
• Excellent computer skills REQUIRED , including experience with AS400, DocuWare, Microsoft Excel, and Word .
• Strong knowledge of LTL, truckload transportation, freight carriers, and shipping procedures.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently, multitask, and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to remain focused and make sound decisions when unexpected challenges arise.
