Loco Boys Brewing Company is looking for an experienced bartender to join our team! We’re a locally owned, independent brewery and scratch Mexican kitchen in Traverse City, and we’re looking for someone who is comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced environment while providing genuine, friendly hospitality. Our bartenders are at the center of the Loco Boys experience. We operate a hybrid service model without traditional servers, where guests can order directly from the bar or use QR codes at their tables to order food and drinks. Because of that, our bartenders do more than just make and serve drinks. They help welcome guests into our space, explain how our ordering system works, answer questions about the food and drink menus, guide guests through the ordering process when needed, and make sure everyone feels taken care of regardless of how they choose to order. Behind the bar, you’ll serve our house-brewed beer, margaritas, cocktails, wine and spirits, take food and beverage orders, and keep things moving efficiently during high-volume shifts. You’ll also work closely with our hosts, runners and kitchen team to make sure guests have a great experience from start to finish. We’re looking for someone who: Has previous bartending experience Is confident working in a high-volume environment Is friendly, outgoing and genuinely enjoys interacting with guests Is comfortable taking the initiative to recognize when a guest needs assistance Can clearly explain our ordering system and help guests navigate our food and drink menus Can move quickly while staying organized and accurate Understands the importance of cleanliness and maintaining a well-run bar Is dependable and works well as part of a team Is comfortable learning and talking about craft beer, cocktails and our food menu Is willing to jump in and help wherever needed Our service model relies heavily on teamwork. Without traditional servers, our bartenders, hosts, runners and kitchen team all play a role in creating a welcoming, efficient experience for our guests.
