Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Mid Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: Current RN license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS required Must-Have: - Level I Trauma experience required - Floating as needed - First-time travelers not accepted Description: SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS: Shift from 3 PM to 3 AM, weekends and holidays as needed. Will float to Emergency Transitional Care Unit as needed. Pre-Screen Unit: Candidates will be reviewed by clinical staff to determine clinical fit. If clinical criteria are met, candidates will be sent to the manager for final decision. Clinical screens will be processed on a case-by-case basis. Manager will conduct interviews. The Emergency Department is a 74-bed facility with a trauma bay and behavioral health unit. The ETCU is a 22-bed expansion with telemetry capability. Negative Pressure Rooms are available if necessary. The purpose of the ETCU is to serve patients undergoing lengthy testing or awaiting consultation or inpatient bed availability. Patients in the ETCU will receive inpatient-level care from staff. Additionally, the staff may care for COVID patients. This is a tobacco and fragrance-free facility. Patient Age Groups Served: Neonates, Adolescents, Infants, Adults, Pediatrics, Geriatrics. Daily patient visits average around 260. The department is supported by interdisciplinary services including Physical Therapy and Rapid Response Teams. The expected patient ratio is 4 patients per nurse for days, nights, and weekends.
