Inspector Packer

Inspector Packer Shift: 12 hour night shift – 7pm to 7am. Rotates every 6 weeks between Sunday night‑Thursday morning and Tuesday night‑Saturday morning. Offers a $2,000 hiring bonus (direct hire only). Base wage starts at $23.09/hr with automatic raises every 3 months during the first year, and annual raises thereafter. Night shift differential of $1/hr, top rate $26.47/hr. Job Summary Remove cartons from machine, inspect, pack cartons, perform quality checks, and complete documentation. Job Duties Catches and inspects cartons coming off the production machine to ensure they are properly glued and formed. Checks for defects by pulling stacks of cartons off the machine, dropping the stack on a table, fanning it out, and tapping. Packs product into cases and tames completed boxes per manufacturing specification. Palletizes as needed. Completes flat packing and rework. Checks glue level on cartons throughout the shift and informs Glue Machine Operator/Feeder of any problems. Assists Glue Machine Operator and Feeder to keep the machine running. Documents QA manufacturing checks and production reporting. Provides relief for breaks as needed. Keeps the manufacturing area and production machine clean throughout the shift. Adheres to all GMP, safety, manufacturing, food safety, AIB, HACCP and food defense procedures (training provided). Performs any other reasonable request from production management. Job Specifications Must be 18 years or older. High School diploma or GED preferred. Mechanical/technical aptitude. Manufacturing or production background preferred but not required. Computer skills. Ability to work safely. Ability to work with others. Flexible; willing to work other shifts, overtime, and weekends. Must be able to speak, read, and write English. Strong work ethic. Physical/Mental Requirements Occasional physical effort such as continuous or prolonged standing, bending, etc. The work environment involves dust, noise, fumes, weather, poor lighting, and heavy machinery.
