This is an excellent opportunity for a provider with a strong pediatric clinical background who enjoys caring for children, adolescents, and young adults in a fast-paced urgent care environment.The Pediatric Nurse Practitioner will provide high-quality, age-appropriate care to patients ages 0–26, with a primary focus on pediatric and adolescent patients. While the majority of your patient population will be pediatric, you will also evaluate and treat patients across the full 0–26 age range, including work-related injuries and occupational medicine visits when applicable. No overnight shifts required!FT status + Benefits start at ONLY 30 hours per week!Competitive Compensation Package + Bonus PlanCME Allowance + Paid Time OffFully covered malpractice including tail coverageCompetitive benefits including Medical, Dental and Vision insurance and MOREMatching 401K planCareer Growth opportunitiesWhat You'll Do:Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients ages 0–26, with an emphasis on pediatric and adolescent care.Provide compassionate, evidence-based care in a busy urgent care setting.Perform procedures within your scope of practice, including:SuturingIncision and drainage of abscessesSplintingForeign body removalApply age-appropriate techniques and comfort measures when treating pediatric patients.Read and interpret diagnostic studies, including X-rays and EKGs.Educate patients, families, and team members regarding care, treatment plans, and health management.Maintain accurate, complete, and timely medical documentation.Ensure appropriate communication and documentation to support quality patient care and reimbursement.Collaborate with physicians and other members of the center team to provide efficient, high-quality care.Participate in center meetings, operational activities, and professional development opportunities.Maintain required certifications and specialty training.Travel to other University Hospitals Urgent Care centers as needed to support business needs.Perform other duties as needed.What We're Looking For:Required Qualifications:Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) license5+ years of pediatric clinical experience preferredActive medical license in the state of practice or ability to obtain licensureCurrent DEA registrationCurrent BLS and PALS certificationsStrong clinical experience with pediatric patientsExperience performing procedures such as suturing and incision/drainageExperience interpreting X-rays and EKGsAbility to meet University Hospitals Urgent Care credentialing requirementsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work effectively as part of a collaborative clinical teamWillingness to travel to other centers as neededThe Ideal Candidate:Have a positive, patient-focused attitude.Truly enjoy working with children and their families.Go the extra mile to create an exceptional patient experience.Thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.Communicate effectively with patients, families, providers, and staff.Be willing to support and mentor the center team.Take pride in delivering high-quality, compassionate care.Want to make a positive impact in the communities we serve.Bring energy, teamwork, and a genuine desire to serve others.Why University Hospitals Urgent Care?At University Hospitals Urgent Care, we believe urgent care can be more than a quick stop for medical treatment.
