About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 10.5 Experience: Minimum 2 Years License: Registered Nurse License Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: RN circulator for left heart catheterization, complete heart procedures, and percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). Description: The unit has 2 procedure rooms and a staff of 11 members. The team includes 1 Supervisor RN, 2 Charge RNs, 4 RN II, 1 Lead Technician, and 3 Registered Cardiac Invasive Specialists (RCIS). There are currently 2 open positions for RCIS. Day shift typically includes 1 charge nurse, 3 RNs, 2 CNAs, and an additional 1-3 sitters as needed. Night shift usually has 4 team members on call, providing care with a typical ratio of 2 RNs and 2 technicians per room. The equipment utilized in the lab is a combination of Philips and GE systems, including Azurion, Maclab, and Cardo EMR with Meditech Expanse. The most sought-after skills for candidates include experience with Impella, IABP, Shockwave, ROTA, CTO, Penumbra, PE thrombectomy with Inari, peripheral procedures, right heart procedures, temporary pacemaker, transesophageal echocardiogram (TEE), and stress/nuclear medicine. Typical procedures performed in this unit include left heart catheterization, complete heart catheterization, PCI, CTO, and peripheral procedures. Candidates should be flexible, team-focused, good communicators, and dependable. Call is required, with a rotating schedule for weekends.
