Our client, an industry leader in manufacturing, is seeking a Hot Trim Operator to join their team. As a Hot Trim Operator, you will be an essential part of the production department supporting the manufacturing process. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, strong coordination skills, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Hot Trim Operator
Location: Kalkaska, MI
Pay Range: $16.60/hr
Shift: Monday-Thursday 4:00am-2:30pm and mandatory overtime Fridays 6:00am-2:00pm, some Saturdays when required.
What's the Job?
- Conduct walk-round inspections of equipment at the beginning of each shift
- Trim forged parts coming off the hammers and operate the trim press
- Operate conveyor systems and load billet feeders
- Inspect part line-up and assist with hammer setup and adjustments for part alignment
- Clean work area at shift end, and support material handling tasks
What's Needed?
- Experience operating a hot trim or similar press
- Good hand/eye coordination
- Basic math skills
- Ability to operate forklifts and cranes
- Willingness to perform additional tasks as required
