Mental Health Counselor

Role Role: Provides direct psychiatric patient care, ensuring safety and supporting a therapeutic environment. Responsibilities Assist with treatment of psychiatric, drug, and alcohol patients; Advocate for vulnerable patients; Offer family counseling and interventions; Adhere to safety guidelines for special patient statuses; Deliver shift reports; Respond quickly in emergencies; Maintain professional boundaries; Complete documentation promptly. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required; BLS certification preferred; Experience is a plus but not mandatory. Skills include teamwork, independence, proficiency with Electronic Health Records, multitasking, basic computer skills, effective communication, and ability to work with patients, staff, and families. CPI training must be completed within 30 days. Work Details Work Details: Onsite position, 24 hours weekly, primarily during day shifts, with weekend availability.
