Locum MD (Medical Doctor), DO (Osteopathic Doctor) Electrophysiology

Description

This on-site, Associate-level position offers an opportunity to provide high-quality cardiac electrophysiology care within a respected medical practice environment.

In this role, you will evaluate and manage patients with cardiac rhythm disorders, perform diagnostic and therapeutic electrophysiology procedures, and collaborate closely with the medical team to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care. This contract position provides flexibility while allowing you to make a meaningful impact on patient outcomes in the medical practice industry.

 

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and diagnose patients with arrhythmias and other cardiac rhythm disorders
• Perform electrophysiology studies and diagnostic procedures
• Conduct catheter ablation and device implantation procedures as appropriate
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients
• Manage cardiac implantable electronic devices, including pacemakers and defibrillators
• Interpret ECGs, Holter monitors, and other cardiac diagnostic tests
• Collaborate with cardiologists, nurses, and allied health professionals
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation and records
• Ensure compliance with clinical protocols, safety standards, and regulations
• Provide patient education and counseling on cardiac conditions and treatments

Requirements

• Valid MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine or Cardiology residency
• Completion of a fellowship in Cardiac Electrophysiology
• Active and unrestricted medical license to practice in Massachusetts
• Board certification in Cardiovascular Disease with Electrophysiology subspecialty
• Current DEA registration and BLS/ACLS certification
• Strong clinical expertise in arrhythmia diagnosis and management
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient care skills

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8a-5p

No call required

Duties: Inpatient consults

Procedures: Full scope of device implants and ablations

Support Staff: 3 EP faculty, 3 EP APPs

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified and have an EP fellowship

Paid travel & expenses
