As part of Garver’s commitment to continued innovation in airport design, our Oklahoma aviation team is dedicated to providing the expertise and leadership to assist our clients in meeting both current and future needs.Garver’s growing Oklahoma Aviation team is seeking an experienced Licensed Civil Engineer that will be responsible for performing a wide array of aviation-related design, planning, grant administration, and client management services for General Aviation and Commercial Air Service Airports. Duties and responsibilities of this role will include:Project support/management for runway and taxiway construction, airfield lighting and signage installation, access road construction, drainage improvement and pavement rehabilitation projectsSignificant design and construction oversight for multiple general aviation clientsCollaborating and/or coordinating design teams consisting of multi-discipline design engineers and techniciansCoordination with clients and funding agenciesProvide outstanding serviceThe LicensedCivil Engineer will primarily be responsible for designing airport projects, including improvements to runways, taxiways, aprons, airfield grading, drainage, hangars, fuel farms, parking areas, terminal buildings, and other airport construction related projects. The Civil Engineer must be able to work as a member of a multi-disciplined team, work with diverse clients, and produce complete design phase deliverables, including drawings, specifications, cost estimates, exhibits, technical reports, and narratives. Tasks associated with creating a set of construction documents include drafting, quantity computations, specifications, and cost estimates. Design development software packages will be used, including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other civil design packages.RequirementsBachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET-accredited program4+ years of related experienceStrong working knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil3DPE in Oklahoma, or ability to obtain within six months of hireStrong written and oral communication skills with both internal employees and external clientsSome travel may be required (approximately 10% with occasional overnight)Preferred SkillsAviation related experienceLicensed pilot or other aviation-related experienceGrow With UsGarver offers its employees programs such as company-paid professional memberships, company support for industry licenses and continuing education opportunities that foster a progressive atmosphere.
