Maintenance Technician
REPCO is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician with electrical maintenance experience in Salina, KS. Monday-Friday 8 AM - 5 PM - We offer a full benefits package and 401k!
Our maintenance technician will ensure the safe and efficient operation of facility electrical systems and machinery through efficient preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs while adhering to applicable mandated safety codes and regulations.
Essential Functions
- Diagnosing, repairing, and replacing malfunctioning electrical components, including motors, relays, breakers, and controls.
- Conducting regular inspections and servicing of machinery, electrical systems, and equipment to prevent breakdowns.
- Installing electrical fixtures, wiring, conduit, and power equipment according to blueprints and schematics.
- Maintain required skills and participate in continuing education to maintain a working knowledge of existing production processes related to equipment needs.
- Calibrate equipment and instruments as needed in compliance with the calibration program.
- Perform general maintenance on the facility and equipment, including plumbing, welding, electrical, painting, piping, and greasing/oiling equipment, gears, and machines.
- Responsible for following all good manufacturing practices, applicable HACCP principles, laws, and statutory regulations, including strict adherence to NFPA 70E (Arc Flash), National Electrical Code Standards, and Lockout/Tagout protocols.
- Perform all job duties within company guidelines, policies, standards, and specifications.

Knowledge and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent. Successful completion of relevant technical training or apprenticeship will be preferred, and will receive priority consideration.
3+ years of industrial electrical maintenance experience in a food manufacturing facility or related industry.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact positively and professionally to develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal customers, peers, and management.
Adapts behavior and work methods in response to new information, changing conditions, or unexpected obstacles.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment in alignment with our Core Values.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, personal protective equipment must be donned when required or requested. The employee will:
- Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; frequently required to hear and talk; regularly required to sit, stand, and walk; occasionally required to climb staircases, ramps, or similar building structures; occasionally required to lift up to 50 pounds; occasionally required to carry up to 50 pounds for a distance of 25 feet;
- Occasionally required to make repeated movements; specific vision abilities include color, the ability to see up-close and to see from a distance as required or requested.
- Regularly exposed to work indoors and outdoors during all weather seasons. The employee is regularly exposed to dust/dirt, loud noise, and odors or fumes. The employee may occasionally be exposed to extreme heat, confined space and poor lighting. The employee may work in an elevated workplace and will regularly be exposed to mechanical, electrical, and fire hazards.
