The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of welding techniques, safety standards, and the ability to work with a variety of materials.Responsibilities:Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to understand weldingPerform welding tasks using various welding techniques (e.g., MIG, TIG, Stick, Arc) on materials such as steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.Set up and maintain welding equipment, ensuring that all tools are in good workingMeasure and cut metal pieces to the correct dimensions andInspect and test welded areas to ensure compliance with quality standards andRepair and modify metal parts as needed to ensure functionality andFollow all safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintaining a safe workWork collaboratively with other team members and departments to meet projectKeep accurate records of work performed, including materials used and hoursMinimum Requirements:Proven experience as a welder in a commercial or industrialProficient in MIG, TIG, Stick, and/or Arc weldingAbility to read and understand technical drawings, blueprints, andFamiliarity with welding safety procedures and the proper use of welding tools andPhysical strength and stamina, with the ability to lift heavy materials and work in physically demandingStrong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-qualityExcellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of aCertification in welding (e.g., AWS, ASME) is preferred but notWhat You'll Love About Us:Best People and Great Places to Work, Hire Vets, Top Place to Work For – Austin American StatesmanYour Well-Being is a 100% covered Medical, Dental, and VisionInvest in Your 401K with company match, immediate vesting
