Job Opportunity – ICU Step-Down / Intermediate Care Registered Nurse – North Dakota

Start Date: November 16, 2026

Location: Fargo, North Dakota

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour shifts with every other weekend and holiday rotation. No call required. Patient ratio of 3:1 to 4:1 based on acuity.

Highlights:

• Work in a 16-bed Intermediate Care Unit within a 200+ bed Level 1 Trauma Center
• Higher acuity patient population including ventilator-dependent patients, cardiac drips, vasoactive medications, and complex neuro cases
• EPIC charting system with comprehensive training on ventilators and pacemakers during orientation
• Fast-paced, team-oriented environment comparable to a Progressive Care or ICU Step-Down setting
• Float opportunities within the critical care cluster to maintain and develop advanced skills
• Care for ER admissions and ICU transfers requiring close monitoring and titration of critical medications

Requirements:

• Active RN license in North Dakota or Compact State
• Minimum 2 years recent ICU experience in a 200+ bed Level 1 Trauma facility
• Demonstrated experience titrating vasopressor drips (must be documented on resume or skills checklist)
• EPIC EMR experience required
• BLS Certification (AHA only)
• ACLS Certification (AHA only)
• NIHSS Certification
• Ventilator and telemetry experience strongly preferred
• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility
