Description

American Traveler is hiring a CVOR RN for a 26-week assignment in a Level 1 trauma hospital, requiring at least 2 years of CVOR experience and prior travel experience.

Details

Work in the OR Float Pool of a 1000+ bed Level 1 trauma hospital with a 56-bed OR (inpatient and outpatient) plus 5 procedural rooms

Cardiac surgery patient population including complex CABG, valve, and repeat cardiac procedures, heart failure, ECMO, VAD, heart and lung transplant, PTE, cardiac trauma, and adult congenital cases

Adult patients only; pediatric cases are handled at a separate Children's Hospital OR

12-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, with varying days based on unit needs and no block schedule

Call required for all travelers in cardiac surgery, with three layers of call (24/7) in addition to three 12-hour shifts, and requirements changing every 6 weeks

May float between ORs but not between locations

Requirements

Active RN license (TN or Compact) required

Minimum of 2 years CVOR experience required

Must be able to scrub and circulate cardiac surgeries

Prior travel nursing experience required

Additional Information

Limited time off approval; expected to work 2 of 3 holidays during the assignment

Only 26-week assignments will be considered; shorter durations are not an option

First-time travelers will not be considered due to the prior travel experience requirement

Accepts local candidates at a lower rate within a 75-mile radius
