Job PostingPOSITION SUMMARY: Packages products assigned in accordance with production orders, production schedules, and quality standardsRESPONSIBILITIES:Understands instructions given by the Team Leaders or Production Manager and follows them accurately. Asks questions when uncertainReviews and understands the production order and any special instructions. Asks for clarification if requiredCommunicates with Material Handlers material requirements to meet production or packaging demandsVerifies the quality of the products will meet or exceed the quality standards of both the customer and Jessup Manufacturing. Able to detect defects in material. Reports defects to Team LeaderCalculates all material usage accurately and neatly and records on work ordersLabels all finished product with accurate part numbers, work order numbers, lot numbers, customer information, and any other information required to efficiently process the product. Label unused raw material for return to warehouseRecognizes existing or potential packaging problems and reports to Team Leader or Production ManagerSuggests process improvements to improve quality, efficiency, safety and communicationMaintains excellent attendance and punctuality according to the JMC employee handbookFollows all safety practices and immediately corrects or reports unsafe conditions. Maintains a clean and orderly work areaExhibits the Jessup Success Factors while performing the responsibilitiesPerforms other duties as assigned by Team LeaderEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: High school or equivalent. Entry level positionSKILLS:Ability to read and understand production orders and verbal instructionsAbility to neatly and accurately record dataAbility to calculate basic math problemsAbility to read a tape measure accuratelyMust be able to push, pull, or make other movements to transfer material from one location to other. Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. of weight
