Guest Advocate (Cashier or Front of Store Attendant/ Cart Attendant)

Starting Hourly Rate / Salario por Hora Inicial: $15.50 USD per hour. Guest Advocate Responsibilities Communicate and interact with guests to build a welcoming guest experience. Blend problem solving and decision making to positively impact the guest experience and resolve guest concerns. Adapt to different guest interactions and situations. Promote and engage around various benefits, offerings and services. Deliver a friendly and efficient shopping experience: greet guests (10ft: friendly smile; 4ft: warm greeting), help them find items, resolve issues, and thank them upon transaction completion. Support team efforts and assist peers while maintaining a positive and respectful attitude. Assist guests with the Target App, Wallet, and Loyalty program enrollment, sign‑up, and sign‑in. Scan, bag, and ship items efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with safety standards. Support Order Pick‑Up, Drive‑Up, online ordering, returns, and exchanges, following Target policies and compliance with laws. Maintain a clean, clutter‑free work area and stock supplies during open hours. Work in a safe manner, complying with all safety policies and reporting hazards. Execute additional duties as required by business needs. Qualifications and Expectations Enjoy interacting and helping others—guests and team members alike. Thrive in a fast‑moving, highly active, physically demanding environment; teamwork, flexibility, and creative problem solving are key. Open to a flexible schedule with varying hours, days, shifts, nights, weekends, holidays, and peak times. Possess strong communication skills, positive language, and attentiveness to guest needs. Attention to detail and task prioritization. Educate guests and engage around products and services. Able to use devices, scanners, and technology as directed. Work independently and with a team, remaining focused and composed in a fast‑paced environment. Capable of handling checkout operations, transactions, and cash office support. Lift or move merchandise up to 10 lbs routinely and up to 44 lbs occasionally. Remain mobile for the duration of a shift; work in varying temperatures and humidity.
