Job Title: Quality Technician

Location: Smyrna, TN

1st Shift: 6AM- 2:45PM Monday-Friday

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Quality Technician to support our automotive chassis production operations. This role is responsible for performing in-process and final inspections of welded and assembled components, ensuring all products meet internal and customer quality standards. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, inspection techniques, and a proactive mindset for problem-solving and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform inspections of chassis assemblies and components throughout the production process, including pre- and post-robotic welding stages
• Use measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges, fixtures) to verify dimensions and tolerances
• Conduct visual inspections to identify weld defects, part misalignments, missing hardware, or surface damage
• Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and control plans
• Document inspection results in quality records, digital systems, or check sheets as required
• Support root cause analysis and corrective action processes for nonconforming products (e.g., 8D, 5-Why, Ishikawa)
• Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to communicate quality concerns and verify corrective actions
• Perform layered process audits and support internal and external audit activities
• Monitor and ensure compliance with customer requirements and ISO/IATF 16949 standards
• Maintain calibration status and care of quality tools and equipment
• Pay Rate : $17.50
