Job Title Home Infusion Registered Nurse (PRN) Location Duluth, MN, USA Overview CSI Pharmacy provides specialty pharmacy services to patients with chronic and rare illnesses. The Home Infusion RN partners with pharmacists, clinicians, and business professionals to deliver high‑quality treatments in patients’ homes. This PRN role offers 10 hours weekly with flexible scheduling. Responsibilities Administer infusions and injections (IV, subcutaneous, or other methods) as prescribed. Assess patients: review medical history, allergies, current medications; check vital signs; identify risks and potential side effects. Provide education and counseling to patients and caregivers about medications, side effects, and emergency management. Monitor patients during and after infusions for adverse reactions; follow up with calls or visits to track progress and adjust care plans. Maintain accurate records of infusion details, patient responses, adverse events, and educational instructions in compliance with regulations. Collaborate with the nursing team, pharmacists, and clinical supervisors to coordinate care and address treatment effectiveness. Prepare and handle medications safely, verifying correct drug, dosage, and technique. Ensure sterile technique and infection control; prevent contamination during preparation and administration. Manage inventory of specialty medications and infusion supplies; coordinate with the pharmacy team to maintain adequate stock. Assist with insurance verification or authorization processes related to specialty medications. Travel to and from patients’ homes; anticipate Additional Responsibilities for IgCN‐Certified Nurses Participate in CSI’s Immunoglobulin Mentorship Program, including coaching, training, and competency reviews. Serve as a clinical resource and mentor for new or transferring nursing staff. Document mentorship activities and assessments per CSI policies. Qualifications Valid RN license. Minimum 2 years RN experience; 1 year preferred in ER/ICU/Infusion. At least 1 year of experience accessing PIV lines, ports, and maintaining PICC lines (required). Preferred: 1 year infusion experience in a hospital or home health setting. Drug screen completion required prior to employment. Ability to perform all essential duties satisfactorily.
