Voluntary benefits including auto, homeowner and pet insuranceThe role will generally accept applications for at least three calendar days from the posting date or as long as the job remains posted.Career Level - IC5ResponsibilitiesAs a Lead Principal Core Infrastructure Software Engineer, you will:Lead the architecture, design, implementation, and evolution of highly scalable distributed systems that power OCI Networking.Drive the technical direction of critical control and management services supporting network configuration management and propagation to network dataplanes.Partner across OCI organizations to build reliable, scalable, and operable cloud infrastructure.Mentor engineers, influence architectural decisions, and raise the engineering bar through technical leadership, design reviews, and operational excellence.You should value simplicity and scale, thrive in a collaborative environment, and enjoy solving challenging distributed systems problems.Requirements10+ years of experience designing and building large-scale distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, networking software, or systems software.Strong computer science fundamentals, including algorithms, data structures, concurrency, distributed systems, and software design.Strong familiarity with network configuration management is highly desirable.Experience building and operating modern CI/CD pipelines, release automation, and deployment workflows for large-scale distributed systems.Experience designing, building, and operating highly available, production-grade distributed services at scale.Demonstrated technical leadership, including driving architecture, mentoring engineers, and leading cross-team technical initiatives.BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.Full timePosting Date: 2026-06-11
