Summary

The Human Resources Business Partner will act as a liaison between Human Resources and the business. The HR Business Partner will act as a strategic partner with local plant management and the Director of Human Resources.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Works with Director or Human Resources to ensure a unified company image is maintained for all HR related matters.
• Aligning HR practices with business goals and leading change management projects.
• Ensures employee and company information is confidentially maintained.
• Conducts an open-door policy regarding employee issues/concerns.
• Resolve complex employee relations issues and improve work relationships and productivity.
• Analyze trends and metrics and report on HR functions.
• Maintains knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting comply.
• Administers SMAC bonus program for managers.
• Develops company policies and handbooks in conjunction with Director of Human Resources and communicating to employees.
• Works with managers to ensure disciplinary actions and terminations are approved and handled appropriately.
• Writes contracts for promotions, transfers, and new hires and develops company policies and practices.
• Self-assesses and receives training as required.

Position Requirements

Education and/or Experience

• Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in Human Resources, Business, or Organizational Development from four-year college or university, with three to five years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience, or five to ten years related experience.
