ABOUT THIS ROLE

This is a full-time leasing position based in Detroit, Michigan. While this is an on-site role, it is not a fully in-office position. The individual in this role will regularly work with residents, property managers, and community partners throughout the Detroit area and may be required to travel to meet residents in their homes or visit multiple property locations as business needs require.

As our LIHTC Compliance and Leasing Specialist, you'll play a central role in connecting residents, property managers, ownership groups, and corporate teams throughout the Detroit area. Your day may begin by assisting a prospective resident through the LIHTC qualification process, helping them understand and complete required paperwork, before transitioning to answering leasing inquiries from individuals searching for affordable housing opportunities. Throughout the day, you'll collaborate with property managers on move-ins and move-outs, maintain accurate information within property management software, and serve as the compliance liaison between ownership and management offices. Whether you're meeting residents in their homes, supporting a site manager at a property, or ensuring records remain compliant and up to date, your work will directly contribute to helping residents find and maintain quality housing.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR IN AN ON-SITE LIHTC COMPLIANCE AND LEASING SPECIALIST

Our company is searching for someone that is compassionate, detail-oriented professional who can confidently support residents, ensure compliance standards are maintained, and serve as a trusted resource for both management teams and community members. You might be perfect for this position if you can also meet the following qualifications:

• Understanding of LIHTC housing compliance
• Fair Housing Certification
• Previous experience managing affordable housing sites
• Strong customer service mindset

Preferred:

• Previous experience in a compliance role within affordable housing
