The facility is a teaching hospital with a level II Trauma Center. Uniform is scrubs, either all white, all navy or a combination of both colors. Candidates must have current Client license in hand. ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications are required. Candidates with prior permanent and travel work history must be listed in the profile. All nursing positions require the Client license and Nursys must be provided. Two supervisory clinical references are required at the time of submission. The facility has a patient age group that includes adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. The daily census includes a significant number of visits per day. The emergency department consists of multiple rooms and beds. Candidates must have skills in BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, and care of ventilated patients. Candidates should be familiar with central line care, initiating and maintaining IVs, and triage. The job may involve interpretation of dysrhythmias and performing EKG testing. Isolation precautions and PPE are essential practices within the emergency department. Previous charge RN references are acceptable. Preference will be given to candidates with travel experience, although extensive experience will also be considered. Local candidates within a specified distance are welcome to apply.
