You will serve patients daily in a multitude of ways:

Medical Insurance, Dental & Vision Insurance, 401k & 4% Match, Employer Paid Life and AD&D insurance, Paid Time Off and Sick Time, 7 Holidays and 2 floating holidays, Career Growth & Development. Compensation for this position is $25.00 - $28.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for setting up procedure rooms, layout of supplies, and selection of proper scopes
• Prepares endoscopy procedure room after each procedure by following infection control practices, including disinfection of all surfaces, etc.
• Cleaning and flushing of scopes following national standards and guidelines for infection control practices
• Monitor and maintain the automated endoscopic reprocessing equipment, including performance control of monitoring/quality assurance procedures regarding equipment and disinfectants
• Maintain the autoclave and process all sterilization procedures following guidelines
• Properly shut down the reprocessing room, including hanging all endoscopes and accessories after the end of the HLD cycle. Decontamination of the scope buddy protocol
• Knowledge in setting up the endo cart with the endoscope and all necessary accessories for each case, ensuring that all equipment is connected and functioning properly, ahead of all procedures
• Experience in troubleshooting all endoscopy equipment, including the processor, light source, scopes, and Medivators CER- machine
• Competent in precleaning, leak testing, manual cleaning, and high-level disinfection (HLD) of all endoscopes and accessory equipment in a Medivators AER system
• Skills in Orbera balloon insertion and Orbera/Obalon balloon retrieval methods using correct equipment and accessories, a plus
• Needed availability and travel: This position will alternate between Manhattan, NYC, and Stamford, CT locations on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and in Cortland Manor, NY, on Thursday and Friday.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• Certified Endoscopy Technician Required
• Required one-year experience in a GI setting
• Certified in BLS
